MAURITIUS

Barclays

Project Completed

This project consists of several branches of Barclays Bank commissioned throughout Mauritius, namely, Phoenix, Pamplemousses, Tyack, Riviere du Rempart, Lallmatie, Stanley, Rose-Hill, Quatre Bornes, Vacoas, Belle Village and Tamarin. The interiors of the different branches had to be redesigned due to a rebranding of the bank.

The Rose-Hill Branch is one of the last Barclays Bank Renovation developed by Morphos Architects. Located along the main road of Rose Hill, in the busiest corner, project was a huge challenge in terms of the construction due to various restrictions for site access and with a very short time frame, eight weeks for the completion of the project. The starting point for this project was to integrate two floors, the mass banking and Premier Banking for excusive clients on the first floor. The ceiling height at the ground floor has been maximized by raising all false ceilings and openings on the façade.

This has created more volumes and brightens the interior of the banking hall. The new corporate interior establishes a corporate image that simultaneously united previously dispersed departments and facilitates internal communication thorough open space and glaze partition.
