MAURITIUS

Avalon Golf & Country Club

Completed in 2015

The interior is derived from in two main themes- the five element of ancient Chinese Philosophy (Fire, Water, Metal, Wood and Earth) and the culinary DNA of the menu. The restaurant belongs to the Golf Club House. The interior evokes a sense of contemporary Asia without being traditional or literal. The use of timber posts create various eating areas with different atmospheres.

The space is divided into three main seating areas with an informal set up of bars stools next to the main bar. A long wine refrigerator with stained glass door stretches along the wall next to the bar. The main dining space is more centrally located within the main open space and a lounge corner with an integrated fire place celebrates the focal point of the dining area.
